Web developer based in Greater Manchester with a background that spans from theoretical physics to enterprise CMS development. I hold a Master's degree in Physics from the University of Leeds and have spent my career building and maintaining web applications — most notably on the .NET / Umbraco stack.
I currently work at Agidea Technology Consulting in Manchester. Before that, I've spent time across a range of projects touching on cloud infrastructure (AWS), server administration (IIS, FreeBSD), and front-end build tooling — which is why this blog tends to wander across so many topics.
Early in my career I co-authored two peer-reviewed papers on helium flow in aerogel materials. These days the closest I get to physics is trying to predict how long a deployment will take.
